Composition Lessons in Copenhagen

I am a composer, and I have taught composition for many years, from very young children to older students preparing for MGK and the conservatories. It is work I care about deeply, and I have come to believe that almost anyone with a real musical question can begin.

Composers arrive from every direction: some romantic, some drawn to the baroque, some serial or conceptual, and none of that decides anything. What matters is the idea. If the idea is alive, the shape it takes is secondary.

Lessons take place in Copenhagen, usually in Frederiksberg. Alongside ongoing lessons I give score feedback on a single piece or sketch, and I help applicants prepare a portfolio for MGK, the academies and the conservatories. Beginners are as welcome as advanced students. You do not need to arrive sure of yourself; you need only a musical question serious enough to work with.
